Many thanks to Papa Roach guitarist and all round nice guy, Jerry Horton for donating his strings (again) to our charity! We came home from a road trip to find a box waiting at the post office. Inside was a treasure 🙂
Inside were 30 sets of strings! We posted around our social sites right away, offering Papa Roach fans a chance for custom bracelets, and Jerry reposted. That’s all it took and the phone blew up with messages non-stop for the next 3 days!
10 days later, and 80 bracelets later, we were completely out of our stash of skulls, tired, happy, and richer for meeting all the wonderful Papa Roach fans via our Instagram and Twitter page. The items were mailed to all points – Canada, USA, Australia, Poland, Ireland, UK, even Russia and Brazil!
Once the dust settled, we collectively raised $1860.00 for World Vision that we used via their online Gift Catalog. To see a complete list of what we did with the funds, check out our blog post on our Comfort Doll Project charity page HERE.
