To date we have raised over $3650 from the sale of bracelets and earrings created from stage played guitar strings, donated by Jerry Horton of Papa Roach fame! This is staggering and we don’t take lightly the massive support we received from Papa Roach fans (mostly on Instagram), and from Jerry himself – the power of social media – Jerry reposted our post once, and all hell broke loose with the end result being nearly 200 bracelets made in just over a month. A month later, that was repeated when Jerry reposted our post, and by the third batch, we were 3/4 of the way through the massive box he had sent.
We have done some incredible things with the money ranging from meds for kids (at a cost of $30 for 10 kids) all the way up to helping build a well and funding a share of a cow! For a full list of what has been accomplished, check out our Comfort Doll Project charity page HERE.
At this time, we still have a few strings left, and expect them to be gone for Christmas. Big things from such a little thing, an item that most times gets tossed in the garbage. Love it!
